The persecution continues …

As a result of the harassment of the son of Rabbi Uzi Meshulam and his family, which continues till today (as publicized in "yediot achronot" of december 11, 2006: "the son of Rabbi Uzi Meshulam requested, in canada, to be recognized as having a political-refugee status and In the internet site: "www.zeakat-emet.com". ) I would like to remind that more than 12 years have passed since the "events in yehud ". During these years I investigated the issue of the "disappearance" of the yemenite children and the silencing of this issue during the course of all the years since then .

Aside the realizations that i acquired regarding the severity of the crimes of kidnapping the children and the methods of silencing the issue during the course of 60 years, i learned to recognize the tremendous destructive and evil power that the government in israel has, that began even prior to the declaration of the state of israel .

The more i understood these matters it became clear to me more and more how much i erred at the time in my attitude towards Rabbi Uzi Meshulam. In retrospect i know that due to the whirlpool of felings that i was subjected to due to confrontation with beliefs and opinions that i was not wise enough to delve into the sources and roots, i transgressed with speaking evil slander and perhaps even worse that that .

I learned to honour and appreciate the great accomplishment and courageous heart of the rabbi and to have remorse regarding the things i said that i should never have uttered, words that i ask forgiveness of having said them and hope i will be forgiven .

Ever since i investigated the issue of the kidnapping of the children i catagorize myself as "a citizen ashamed of her country". The evildoings of the police, the political system, the judicial system and the media – from then till today – enhance this feeling and even make it worse .

We have a K.G.B. of our own !

In my book "The child is gone" (published by "hagefen 2001") i documented the struggles of Rabbi Uzi Meshulam, that were all democraticand legal, to uncover the crime, struggles that the establishment and the media made sure that we should not know about them – when they decided to outrightly go against the rabbi in the yehud events .

In the internet site – Zeakat-Emet (true cry for help), that was recently founded, were publicized some of the severe harassment on the part of high-rank officials in the establishment towards Rabbi Uzi and his son .

From the year 2002 Ami was called to tens of investigations (in the office of the prime-minister and in other places) during which he was threatened that they would take his children and harm them, would inject terrible sicknesses, or they would criminilize the rabbi through false accusation, him and his friends and would enjail them for their entire lives, despite their being undoubtedly innocent .

Threats that were accompanied by examples of their ability, such as that assasination of dr. Zigelbaum of blessed memory .

The official sources emphasized that they "got rid" of the doctor since he, for reasons of his own, threatened to publicize the injection of the chemicals that caused the collapse fo the body of the rabbi when he was imprisoned in the shata jail in emek-israel .

The purpose of the interrogations was to force Ami to hand over to them documents that his father gathered on the topic of the children.the only choice thay gave him was – to leave the country for good. And so, about a year ago, as he was forced to, Ami left the country and requested political shelter in canada .

In prayer to the complete cure of Rabbi Uzi and in demand of the stateof israel to carry out a true and revealed investigation of its persecution of Rabbi Uzi, his son and his entire family …

We have a K.G.B. of our own

According to information known to me, the governmental sources in the country still continue to harass the Meshulam family, especially – Ami, the oldest son of Rabbi Uzi Meshulam, with the intention to force him to hand over documents that his father gathered on the topic of the kidnapping of the yemenite children. The only choice given to him was to leave the country for good and indeed, about a year ago Ami left the country and sought political shelter in canada. I feel obligated to publicize these matters since during the course of 12 years that passed since the "events in Yehud" i studied and researched the affair of the kidnapping of the children, their being given and sold for adoption both in israel and abroad. I also investigated the method of silencing the affair throughout the years and publicized my findings ni the book "The child is gone" (gefen publishing, 2001). Aside the understandings that i acquired regarding the severity of the crimes of kidnapping the childrenand the methods of silencing the affair for 60 years i learned also to realize the tremendous destructive power that the rulership in israel posseses from even prior to the declaration of the state of israel .

With all the difficulty of accepting such severe complaints against the establishment in the country, to my great anguish, i, today, believe that they do exist. As my understanding of these topics grew, the more i realized that they are true. Ever since i investigated the affair i catagorized myself as "a citizen ashamed of her country". The misconduct of the police, the political system, the jurisdictive system and the media from then till today, strengthen this feeling and even make it worse .

Indeed, we have a K.G.B. of our own .

The country is busy these days with present-day acts of corruption so the affair of the kidnapping of the children seems far-past history and not that acute. However, if we indeed wish to have a jewish and democratic country, the affair – and the issue of the persecutions done to the one that tried to reveal it, deserve an open, true and fair investigation .
